About The Role

The Director, Social Media at goop will oversee the creation, execution, and evolution of goop's social media strategy while reporting to the VP, Brand Marketing. This role requires a balance between creative vision, analytics, and cultural relevance. The successful candidate will work with teams across creative, editorial, e-commerce, and communications to drive platform growth, enhance community engagement, and ensure a cohesive brand presence.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Lead the development and execution of goop’s social media strategy.
  • Coordinate content planning, publishing, and calendar alignment with cross-functional teams.
  • Collaborate with the Creative Director and brand teams to ensure visual and narrative consistency.
  • Stay updated on platform trends and utilize insights for innovative executions.
  • Manage social reporting and analytics to inform strategy and creative direction.
  • Guide and mentor the social team fostering collaboration and creativity.
  • Collaborate with Influencer and PR teams to amplify campaigns.
  • Own relationships with platforms, vendors, and external partners.
  • Support integrated campaign launches for beauty, fashion, and brand initiatives.

Qualifications & Experience

Minimum 6-8 years in social media, digital marketing, or content strategy with a leadership background. Proven record in developing innovative social strategies for luxury, beauty, fashion, or lifestyle brands is required. Candidates should have deep expertise in social media platforms, trends, analytics, and tools (experience with Dash Hudson is a plus). Strong leadership, cross-functional collaboration, analytical and strategic thinking skills, as well as excellent communication and storytelling abilities, are essential.

Compensation & Benefits

Base salary ranges from $140,000 to $150,000, plus equity.
