Job Description

UX Engineering Manager, Search

Google is seeking a UX Engineering Manager to lead a team focused on the future of Google Search's user experience. This role involves defining product strategy, envisioning complex UX ecosystems, and inspiring teams to innovate. You will guide research and design processes, mentor UX Engineers, and collaborate with other UX and Engineering leaders to create groundbreaking experiences. The Search team is dedicated to reimagining information discovery, tackling complex engineering challenges, and expanding infrastructure to maintain a universally accessible and useful experience for billions of users worldwide.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a team of UX Engineers to implement versatile front-end solutions to web development issues.
  • Explore product concepts to find promising directions that address both human and business needs.
  • Advise, collaborate with, and synthesize feedback from UX designers and researchers.
  • Deliver engaging prototypes using the latest in front-end technologies.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Human-Computer Interaction, Design, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8 years of experience in iOS development in swift, technical UX design, and prototyping.
  • 3 years of experience managing people or teams.
  • Experience with vibe coding tools, including AI Studio, Cursor, Antigravity, or Firebase Studio.
  • Include a portfolio, website, or any other relevant link to your work samples in your resume.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Computer Science, Human-Computer Interaction, Design, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8 years of experience in a technical, UX, or design environment.
  • Familiarity working across full tech stacks and production environments.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, project management, and organizational skills.
