About the Threat Intelligence Reporting Analyst Role
Join the Google Reporting and Insights team within the Google Threat Intelligence Group (GTIG) to produce actionable intelligence reports for our defenders. In this role, you will transform technical data into narratives that drive security fixes and help eliminate attacks across Google products and our user base.
Responsibilities
- Produce threat intelligence reports for Google defenders and counter abuse teams.
- Report threats and vulnerabilities to enable fixes on Google products.
- Conduct research on industry trends and geopolitical implications.
- Coordinate requests from Cloud, Trust and Safety, and other product areas.
- Collect, synthesize, and publish data via blogs and white papers.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Cyber-security, Information Systems, Computer Science, or equivalent experience. 8 years of experience in security operations with a focus on Incident Response, Threat Hunting, Security Monitoring, Log Analysis, and Risk Assessments. Proven experience in leading cross-functional security projects and presenting findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Preferred Qualifications
- 5 years of cyber threat intelligence analysis experience.
- Expertise in generating actionable threat intel reports.
- Experience working with remediation teams.
- Ability to run scripts for daily operations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Work Arrangement & Locations
Google offers a hybrid workplace model with both in-office and remote work options. In-office choices include Reston, VA; New York, NY; and San Francisco, CA. Remote options are available from Virginia, USA.
Compensation
The US base salary range for this full-time position is $167,000 to $247,000 plus bonus, equity, and benefits. Note that compensation details refer only to base salary. Additional pay is determined by work location and individual qualifications.
