Original Job Summary
About the Role
The Technical Solutions Engineer, Data and Analytics at Google works in a shift pattern or non-standard hours, including weekends, to provide 24x7 support for Google Cloud customers. You will troubleshoot technical issues through debugging, networking, system administration, and scripting, while also contributing to tools and documentation improvements.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, or equivalent practical experience. At least 5 years of experience working with two or more of the following: Web Tech, Data/Big Data, Systems Administration, Machine Learning, Apache Airflow, and SQL.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in customer advocacy and Linux/Unix systems.
- Experience with distributed, columnar, or analytic databases and data processing frameworks.
- Knowledge in Apache Hadoop family, workflow orchestration, and ETL development.
- Strong skills in data analytics, warehousing, SQL/NoSQL database administration, and Cloud networking.
- Understanding of Web application development, HTTP/RESTful API troubleshooting, and database design.
Responsibilities
- Manage customer issues with effective diagnosis and resolution.
- Troubleshoot and reproduce issues to identify root causes.
- Consult internal teams including engineering and sales to resolve deployment obstacles.
- Advocate customer needs with product and engineering teams to improve Google Cloud products.
- Participate in a global team providing 24-hour support with non-standard work hours.
