As a Platform Technical Sales Specialist, you will collaborate with technical Sales teams to position Google Cloud as the preferred solution for our customers. You'll act as the primary technical partner and trusted advisor, engaging in technical discussions to uncover business challenges. Your role involves troubleshooting technical issues, conducting proofs of concept and demos, and applying your expertise to develop comprehensive cross-pillar cloud solutions that address these challenges. You will be instrumental in securing the technical win and outlining the initial delivery and consumption strategies, engaging with both technical and business leaders to present practical and effective Google Cloud solutions.
Your focus will be on identifying, pursuing, and securing new business opportunities, blending sales acumen, market knowledge, and direct technical engagement to demonstrate the value of the Google Cloud portfolio. Your Responsibilities
- Develop and manage the technical account plan and strategy, actively participating in planning and supporting sales initiatives.
- Combine expertise in sales, programming, and solution development to showcase the value of Google Cloud Platform across the portfolio through advanced demos, pilots, and workshops.
- Design cross-pillar solutions, secure technical wins, and define initial delivery plans for customers, maintaining technical leadership throughout the solution phase.
- Facilitate a smooth post-sales transition by supporting pricing activities and handing over the final delivery plan to implementation teams.
- Monitor progress against the delivery plan, offering support to cross-functional teams during the ramp-up, delivery, migration, or implementation phases.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 6 years of experience with cloud native architecture in a customer-facing or support capacity.
- Experience with cloud development, on-premise development, virtualization, or containerization platforms.
- Proficiency in programming languages, debugging, systems design, prototyping, demos, or customer workshops.
- Experience engaging with, or presenting to, technical stakeholders or executive leaders.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience promoting technical solutions in areas such as Infrastructure Modernization, Application Modernization, Data Management, Data Analytics, Cloud AI, Networking, Migrations, or Security.
- Experience in developing long-term technical strategies to identify new customer workloads.
- Demonstrated ability to drive the entire business cycle, from defining delivery and consumption plans to transitioning for execution.
- Experience migrating applications and services to cloud platforms.
- Familiarity with security concepts including encryption, identity management, access control, attack vectors, and penetration testing.
