About the Technical Sales Specialist II, Google Cloud Platform, FSI Role at Google
As a Technical Sales Specialist II, Google Cloud Platform, FSI at Google, you will be a pivotal partner in showcasing the power of Google Cloud to leading companies, particularly within the Financial Services Industry (FSI). You will collaborate closely with technical business teams to differentiate Google Cloud’s offerings, serving as a primary technical partner and trusted advisor to customers. Your role involves engaging in deep technical conversations to grasp business issues, troubleshooting complex questions, leading proofs-of-concept, and conducting demos. You will leverage your expertise to develop cross-pillar cloud solutions that directly address customer challenges, driving technical wins and defining delivery and consumption plans. This position requires blending business acumen, market knowledge, and direct technical engagement to prove the value of the Google Cloud portfolio, focusing on identifying, pursuing, and securing new business workloads while expanding existing ones.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 6 years of experience with cloud native architecture in a customer-facing or support role.
- Experience engaging with, or presenting to, technical stakeholders or executive leaders.
- Experience in programming languages, debugging, systems design, prototyping, demos, or customer workshops.
- Experience with cloud development, on-premise development, virtualization, or containerization platforms.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience building long-term technical strategies to uncover new workloads with customers.
- Experience migrating applications and services to cloud platforms.
- Experience with security concepts (e.g., encryption, identity management, access control, attack vectors, penetration testing).
- Experience driving the entire business cycle (e.g., defining the delivery and consumption plan and transitioning it for execution).
- Experience promoting technical solutions in one or more of the following: infrastructure modernization, application modernization, data management, data analytics, cloud AI, networking, migrations, security.
Responsibilities
- Develop and own the technical account plan and strategy, participating in planning and supporting targeted business motions.
- Combine business, programming, and solutions architecture expertise to prove the value of Google Cloud Platform across the portfolio through demos, pilots and in-depth workshops.
- Develop cross-pillar solutions, drive technical wins, and define initial delivery plans for customers; continue to lead the technical engagement in the solution phase.
- Facilitate the post-sales transition by supporting pricing activities and transitioning the final delivery plan to implementation teams.
- Maintain awareness of progress against the delivery plan, providing support to cross-functional teams during ramp, delivery, migration or implementation phases.
