Technical Program Manager, Telephony, Google Voice at Google

As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you’ll use your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. You’ll work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. You're equally comfortable explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers.

The Google Voice team builds telephony products that enable consumers, small business, and enterprise users to enhance their connections with friends, colleagues, and customers. Google Voice provides global telephony, simplified administration and management, and integrations across Workspace to help make users productive.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience in program management.
  • Experience with vendor management.
  • Experience with telephony.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.
  • Experience with SQL and data analysis.
  • Experience with telecommunication systems.

Responsibilities

  • Own and execute technical business operations across key areas such as telephone number acquisition and porting, emergency address management, business messaging certification, billing and tax, etc.
  • Establish and support vendor and partner relationships to execute operations.
  • Influence the roadmap through knowledge and communication of operations health status and needs.
  • Identify and implement improvements for current process, and design and implement process to support new features in line with business goals.
  • Work cross-functionally with product managers, engineers, and Google’s support team to ensure that work is being done and to identify and remove any roadblocks.
