As a Technical Program Manager, Systems Engineering, Cloud Supply Chain at Google, you’ll utilize your technical expertise to spearhead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from inception to completion. You will collaborate with various stakeholders to meticulously plan requirements, proactively identify risks, efficiently manage project schedules, and foster clear communication with cross-functional partners across the entire company. Your role demands a comfortable fluidity in explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives, as well as engaging in in-depth technical discussions about product development tradeoffs with engineers. This position is integral to Google Cloud, which is dedicated to accelerating organizations' digital transformations by delivering enterprise-grade solutions leveraging Google’s advanced technology and tools for sustainable development. Customers in over 200 countries rely on Google Cloud as a trusted partner for growth and solving critical business challenges.

Responsibilities

  • Lead initiatives aimed at optimizing the entire technical delivery life-cycle, encompassing design through deployment, to ensure enhanced throughput, improved resource utilization, and predictable outcomes.
  • Advocate for programs that strategically incorporate automation, data analytics, and Machine Learning (ML) capabilities to streamline routine operations, minimize manual intervention, and significantly increase overall system resilience.
  • Oversee critical cross-functional engagements, including those involving third-party vendors, ensuring aligned delivery, meticulous monitoring, and clear escalation paths for mission-critical services.
  • Develop clear, data-driven reports providing comprehensive insights into program status, potential risks, budget utilization, and impact against organizational scalability goals, presenting these findings effectively to leadership.
  • Define and deliver new capabilities designed to improve overall fleet health and performance across key metrics such as availability, time to repair, and labor requirements.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience in program management.
  • Experience in software or systems engineering from design through deployment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.
  • Experience in data analysis, supply chain, and datacenter automation.
  • Experience in SQL.
  • Excellent investigative thinking skills.
