About the Role: Technical Program Manager, Supply Chain Systems
As a Technical Program Manager, Supply Chain Systems at Google, you will leverage your technical expertise to spearhead intricate, multi-disciplinary projects from inception to completion. This role involves close collaboration with various stakeholders to meticulously plan requirements, proactively identify potential risks, expertly manage project schedules, and ensure transparent communication with cross-functional teams throughout Google.
You will be adept at conveying complex team analyses and recommendations to executive leadership, while also engaging in detailed technical discussions about product development tradeoffs with engineers. Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent practical experience.
- 2 years of experience in technical program management.
- Experience in software development life-cycle management.
Preferred Qualifications
- 2 years of experience delivering high-availability distributed systems and managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.
- Experience with object-oriented programming languages, distributed systems, and scalable and reliable systems/cloud services.
- Experience managing development/customization of one or more supply chain solutions like SAP, JDA, Kinaxis, etc.
Responsibilities
- Manage a diverse portfolio of supply chain software development programs, encompassing supply planning, execution, and asset management, collaborating with internal teams and external partners.
- Effectively scope, plan, and manage projects, ensuring the quality of software development, mitigating risks, adhering to schedules, implementing communication plans, and delivering on commitments.
- Establish the vision and strategic direction for programs, defining clear goals and objectives, alongside program controls, governance, and operational standards.
- Initiate new software development programs, focusing on identifying and delivering features that enhance performance, scalability, functionality, security, quality, and overall efficiency.
- Provide accurate forecasts of project deliverables and detailed status updates to management.
