Technical Program Manager, gTech Users and Products at Google
Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 5 years of experience in technical program or project management.
- 5 years of experience in managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience with guiding technical decisions and discussions, with excellent technical judgment skills.
- Ability to own and deliver cross-functional end-to-end technical programs.
- Ability to drive consensus across Engineering, Product, and User Experience (UX).
- Excellent communication skills, with presenting topics to technical and non-technical audiences.

As a Technical Program Manager, gTech Users and Products at Google, you’ll use your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. You’ll work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. You're equally comfortable explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers.

About gTech Users and Products (gUP)
In gTech Users and Products (gUP), our mission is to advocate for Google’s users by creating helpful and trusted experiences across the product ecosystem. We achieve this by meeting partners and consumers where they are with support and help, representing their needs with our product partners and proposing fixes and features that elevate their engagement with Google's diverse product ecosystem. Additionally we provide a range of product services that ensure our products are optimized for every user, no matter where they are in the world (e.g., localization, digitization, partner integration and more).
Responsibilities
- Drive and own the delivery of programs, from technical scoping and design through global launch, landing, and maintenance.
- Apply technical understanding to identify and resolve system-level blockers, guiding technical decisions within Generative AI architecture, prompt engineering, and data pipelines.
- Align cross-functional teams (e.g., Engineering, Product, User Experience (UX)) and stakeholders on program goals, technical approaches, and priorities, driving consensus and unblocking progress.
- Contribute to product and program strategy by identifying opportunities, defining project goals, and ensuring alignment with gTech Users and Products (gUP) goals.
- Design, implement, and drive adoption of frameworks, best practices, and data-motivated Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) to improve program execution, monitor health, and enhance communication with leadership.
