Technical Program Manager, Google Cloud Business Production Support at Google
Google's projects, like our users, span the globe and require managers to keep the big picture in focus while being able to dive into the unique engineering challenges we face daily. As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you lead complex, multi-disciplinary engineering projects using your engineering expertise. You plan requirements with internal customers and usher projects through the entire project lifecycle. This includes managing project schedules, identifying risks and clearly communicating them to project stakeholders. You're equally at home explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical trade-offs in product development with engineers.
Using your extensive technical and leadership expertise, you manage various Engineering-specific programs and teams.

Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 8 years of experience managing cross-functional/team projects.
- Experience with managing hosted services/SaaS or analyzing and tracing product behavior.
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience implementing, troubleshooting, and supporting internet-based applications, web servers, data storage, commerce engines, and Linux/Unix operating systems.
- Ability to interact directly with customer executives and resolve high-profile escalations and issues, improve the customer experience and drive initiatives that increase the customer success on our product suite.
Responsibilities:
- Lead a team of Technical/Program Managers (T/PgMs) who deliver 24x7 technical support to our global teams.
- Develop the strategies, goals, priorities and work alongside the team to accomplish them.
- Engage with Software Engineering, Product Management and Site Reliability Engineering to manage production incidents in real time.
- Work with local Sales and Operations team to track and further develop the operational program performance.
- Establish a reliable and visible cadence for program reviews, decision-making, prioritization, and Resource Stewardship (effective deployment of machine and people resources) whereby improvements such as efficiency and utilization gains are measurable and the impact can be felt organization wide.
- Seek out and identify change management opportunities that increase program velocity and which affect multiple teams.
