Job Description
About the Job
At Google, a problem isn’t truly solved until it’s solved for all. Googlers build products that create opportunities globally. As a Technical Program Manager, Data Center Infrastructure Quality, you will leverage your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from inception to completion. You will collaborate with stakeholders to define requirements, identify risks, manage project timelines, and ensure clear communication with cross-functional partners across the company. You will be adept at explaining team analyses and recommendations to executives while also discussing technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers.
The Google Data Centers (GDC) comprise one of the largest and most powerful computing infrastructures globally. The GDC Quality team is dedicated to delivering physical plant infrastructure with predictable quality.
In this role, you will work directly with developers, overseeing critical aspects of site, equipment, and construction quality. You will collaborate with data center designers, developers, manufacturers, engineers, and operations teams, driving quality escalations and conducting thorough failure analysis. Your responsibilities include establishing actual root causes and implementing systemic corrective actions with demonstrated preventative solutions. You will extract and analyze data from developer facilities readiness and our data centers to verify performance and drive continuous improvements. You will also develop and manage 3PDC quality programs and services for assigned projects and developers, leading teams to build transformational capabilities that support organizational long-term strategies for scalability.
The Technical Infrastructure team constructs the architecture that powers everything users see online, from developing and maintaining data centers to building next-generation Google platforms. We ensure Google's product portfolio is possible, keeping our networks running to provide the best and fastest user experience.
