About the Technical Program Manager, Cloud Networking Role at Google

As a Technical Program Manager, Cloud Networking, you'll leverage your technical expertise to lead intricate, multi-disciplinary projects from inception to completion. You will collaborate with stakeholders to define requirements, identify potential risks, manage project timelines, and ensure clear communication with cross-functional partners across the company. You'll be adept at presenting team analyses and recommendations to executives while also engaging in detailed technical discussions on product development tradeoffs with engineers.
This role involves bringing together team members who are developing the technological knowledge required to assess readiness through a series of communications, reviews, and retrospectives. This crucial information empowers other teams to prepare for the delivery of capacity using both new and existing technologies.

Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent practical experience.
- 5 years of experience in program management.
- Experience with process and continuous improvement.
- Experience with data analytics, reporting, and scripting using SQL or similar technologies.
- Experience managing software integration programs related to network device development or deployment.
Preferred Qualifications
- 5 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.
- Experience in vendor management within the telecommunications/network industry.
- Experience with network planning and engineering.
- Ability to collaborate with internal stakeholders across different functions and geographies to manage change and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with partners to streamline how deployment processes are built, maintained, and transformed, including conducting technical process definition and analysis sessions with business subject matter experts.
- Maintain strong relationships with reporting and analytics teams for performance metrics.
- Plan the application of new tooling in existing workflows and articulate the business reasoning behind these implementations.
- Communicate health, status, and actions clearly to stakeholders, including management and partner organizations.
- Identify and assess continuous improvement opportunities through qualitative feedback from subject matter experts (SMEs) and process data to drive informed decision-making.
