As a Technical Program Manager, AI Quality in Search Intelligence at Google, you’ll use your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. You’ll work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. You're equally comfortable explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers.
Search is Google’s core information product, with the Search Intelligence group, one of Search’s three core product area groups, owning the quality and experience that define its trustworthiness. Our mission centers on pioneering State-of-the-Art (SOTA) user experiences and conversational journeys in GenAI through close collaboration with cross-functional partners. Within this high-impact space, Search AI Quality Technical Program Managers (TPgMs) act as strategic thought partners who define ambitious engineering goals and drive the execution of quality programs for next generation AI experiences across Search.
As a Search AI Quality Technical Program Manager, you will be an end-to-end owner driving planning and execution. Your cross-functional partners will look to you for strategic thought partnership with a holistic and unbiased point of view. You’ll work on the highest priority programs based on business needs across AI quality.

Responsibilities
- Lead high priority programs within Search AI Quality.
- Act as a strategic thought partner to Engineering and Product leadership, setting the program direction and reducing chaos in highly ambiguous environments.
- Drive deep collaboration and accountability across teams. Influence stakeholders across multiple organizations to align on outcomes that serve the best interests of Google and its users.
- Apply strong technical judgment to navigate complex trade-offs, resolve stakeholder conflicts, and mitigate critical program risks. Facilitate effective decision-making to maintain program momentum.
- Partner with directors and managers across engineering and product to streamline operational processes, simplify execution, and manage key results for the pillar. Create visibility for program progress and bridge communication gaps across pillars.
- Drive continuous improvement, and introduce best practices for reproducibility and scalability in a dynamic environment.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 8 years of experience in technical projects or program management.
- 8 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with projects that involve end-to-end involvement; from significant research and development to pure execution.
- Experience scaling a service or platform to technical engineering teams across multiple organizations.
- Experience working on quality evaluation-focused programs.
- Experience or knowledge in machine learning, Generative AI, or large language models.
- Ability to discuss technical software engineering topics.
- Proven track record of ramping up quickly and learning new technologies with minimal lag time.
