Overview
The Strategy Associate, Market and Competitive Intelligence role at YouTube (Google) is responsible for analyzing market trends, business drivers, and operational metrics to help guide executive decision making and capture growth opportunities. This role works closely with YouTube’s executive team on high-impact projects ranging from Generative AI and short-form video trends to subscriptions growth and creator ecosystem health.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 3 years in equity research, investment banking, consulting or corporate strategy within technology/media.
- Experience in data analysis and financial modeling.
Preferred Qualifications
- SQL experience for data extraction and manipulation.
- Strong communication skills including presentations to executive audiences.
- Background in consumer Internet and media industries.
- Ability to build analyses, make assumptions and work with large data sets.
- Expertise in financial modeling, spreadsheets, databases, and presentation software.
Responsibilities
- Analyze market trends, business drivers and operational metrics for YouTube’s executives.
- Provide regular updates on financial developments and market insights.
- Prepare executive presentations for senior leadership including CEO and VPs.
- Conduct financial modeling and data analysis for market sizing and consumer research.
- Drive thought leadership through industry analysis and earnings coverage.
- Collect and consolidate quantitative and qualitative data from diverse sources.
Additional Information
The US base salary range for this full-time position is $118,000-$170,000 plus bonus, equity, and benefits. Compensation is based on role, level and location. Google is an equal opportunity employer committed to diversity and inclusion.
