About the Role

Strategy & Operations (S&O) professionals within Google’s Marketing organization are crucial for providing business-critical insights and analytics, ensuring cross-functional alignment, and driving strategic partnerships and new initiatives. As a Strategy and Operations Manager, Ads Marketing, you will be an integral part of the team shaping Ads Marketing Strategy, enhancing business performance, and acting as a key thought partner to the Ads Marketing executive team. Your role involves managing critical business operations initiatives to streamline, standardize, and improve processes and protocols for Ads Marketing Managers and leadership. This includes focusing on operations, resource allocation, annual business planning, and program/project management to ensure precision, efficiency, and alignment with Google's high standards. You will collaborate extensively with key partners across Marketing, Product, Finance, and Engineering to tackle complex challenges, advocate for high-priority projects, and foster greater operational excellence within Marketing.

To thrive in this position, you'll need a hypothesis-driven approach to problem-solving, strong quantitative and communication skills, and the ability to navigate broad, ambiguous questions while working collaboratively across all levels of the organization.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 4 years of experience in management consulting, operations, business strategy, investment banking, venture capital, private equity, or corporate advisory, or 2 years of experience with an advanced degree.
  • 2 years of experience developing business strategies or managing cross-functional initiatives.
  • 2 years of experience working with executive stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with investigative problem-solving, quantitative analysis, and communicating findings to management.
  • Experience working in technology companies.
  • Experience in driving cross-functional projects and alignments within organizations.
  • Ability to develop, understand, and execute business strategies.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analysis skills.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with various Google Ads Marketing cross-functional partners and regional marketing teams to support marketing strategy and execution, with a focus on US Go-To-Market (GTM).
  • Connect insights across Ads Marketing functions to develop executive-level marketing strategy and GTM presentations.
  • Own key components of our strategy and annual planning processes, including executive reviews, stakeholder coordination, workback planning, and resource allocation.
  • Support the execution of US GTM strategies that lead to improved market success and customer impact.
  • Design, collaborate on, and lead structured program management approaches for initiatives ranging from building unified plans to performance tracking.
