The US base salary range for this full-time position is $163,000-$237,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Responsibilities

  • Own and drive Google CPU silicon activities in the Austin laboratory facility, including daily lab management, equipment oversight, and upgrades.
  • Perform test chip validation and silicon power measurements while conducting in-depth performance and power analysis.
  • Develop test patterns for power analysis, yield analysis, functionality testing, and speed testing.
  • Develop data science based methods to profile workloads for performance and power analysis and optimization.

Minimum qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8 years of experience working in an electrical silicon lab.
  • Experience with Python-based automation and scripting (e.g., data analysis, equipment control).
  • Experience using oscilloscopes, DMMs, and power analyzers.

Preferred qualifications

  • Master's degree or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science, with an emphasis on computer architecture.
  • Experience with iOS or Android system kernels.
  • Experience with device calibration and trimming procedures.
  • Experience with printed circuit board (PCB)-level mixed-signal validation or debug on IPs (e.g., temperature sensors, current sensors, droop detectors, ADC, or Class-D amplifiers).
  • Experience with PLLs, ADC, current sensors, or ring oscillators.
