About the Senior UX Writer and Content Designer, Google One Role
As a Senior UX Writer and Content Designer at Google One, you will champion Google's design principles, crafting product experiences with useful, meaningful text that guides users through tasks. You'll be instrumental in setting the content vision and ensuring cohesive product narratives across various platforms and touch points. Your work will demonstrate the ability to simplify and enhance the overall user experience.
This role involves close collaboration with researchers, product managers, engineers, marketing, and customer operations to establish unified language and voice across products. You'll use empathy, logic, and data to inform content choices, including words, complementary data, and images. Google One (G1), with over 150 million subscribers, is one of Google's fastest-growing subscriptions, offering personal cloud storage and AI features. Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 6 years of experience in UX writing, content design, technical writing, writing, editorial, marketing, or related fields, including leading content strategy projects.
- Experience in UX-focused product writing and shaping content for multi-disciplinary projects.
- Experience developing and managing content frameworks.
- A portfolio, website, or relevant work link must be included in your resume.
Preferred Qualifications
- 5 years of experience interacting with executive leadership.
- 5 years of writing, editorial, marketing, or UX writing experience in an agency setting.
- 3 years of experience working in a complex, cross-functional technology organization.
- Experience developing information architecture for documentation sets or product suites, including localization and accessibility best practices.
- Ability to lead UX writing and content design projects, collaborating effectively with geographically dispersed cross-functional teams, and communicating content rationale clearly and persuasively.
- Experience working on consumer-focused and monetization products.
Responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end content strategy for the membership life-cycle, including purchase journeys and upgrades.
- Build scalable content frameworks to enable personalization across various user segments and global value propositions.
- Design flexible systems to drive membership growth across international regions and varied technical infrastructures.
- Craft clear, concise UI text that adheres to Google-wide and product-specific style guidelines, maintaining rigorous quality standards for craft and interaction design while managing high-priority workstreams.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Product, Engineering, Design, Research) to align on project needs and navigate platform constraints.
