Overview
At Google, the Senior UX Visual Designer Material Studio role is central to defining and evolving the Material Design system used across Google's products. This role leverages user-centered design methods to craft industry-leading user experiences from concept to execution.
Minimum and Preferred Qualifications
Minimum: Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience and 6 years of visual design experience in product design or UX/UI design. Portfolio submission is required.
Preferred: Master's degree or equivalent in Design, HCI, Computer Science, or related field; 8 years of product design or UX experience; expertise in interactive and visual design elements, layout, and brand expression.

Responsibilities
- Collaborate with design teams across Google to implement Material Design in products.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to solve complex product challenges with design expertise.
- Establish and document visual systems for typography, color, layout, and more.
- Define brand expression systems and create example screens demonstrating design components.
- Work with interaction, motion designers, engineering, research, and product teams to ship design systems.
Compensation and Benefits
The US base salary range is $151,000-$222,000, along with bonus, equity, and benefits. Compensation is based on role, level, location, and additional factors.
