Job Description

About the Senior Technical Program Manager, Applied AI Role at Google

In a Delivery Technical Program Manager role within Google’s Applied AI team, you will act as the operational glue of the deployment pod. Your primary focus will be driving the startup-like velocity needed to transition enterprise customers from pilot phases to full-scale production. Collaborating closely with the technical Directly Responsible Individual (DRI), you will provide essential project management oversight, translating complex technical builds into high-impact business solutions for our customers.

Furthermore, you will work with the Leadership Team to establish a transparent program management state for every account. In this capacity, you will be the definitive center point for all customer reviews, ensuring a unified voice between the customer’s business goals and Google’s engineering output. You will architect a standardized Customer Health Hub where the state of each account—including Resolution Rate, Latency (TTFT), and Eval Scores—is surfaced in real-time. Leading these reviews with leadership, you will ensure global consistency across the entire portfolio. Weekly audits will be conducted to evaluate the technical friction and stakeholder complexity of each account, preventing any critical deployment from hitting a bottleneck. Additionally, you will serve as the central hub connecting all stakeholders, including Solution Architecture, Agent Engineering, and Product, to enable technical DRIs to remain focused on building while you drive the roadmap, risk mitigation, and executive reporting.

The Applied AI team builds conversational agents deployed at a large scale, achieving very meaningful results in the real world. Examples include customer agents for large call center environments and fast-food ordering handled by our Food AI agent. This team is transforming how enterprises connect with customers through the power of AI. We offer unique experiences, allowing team members to work directly with model builders (Google DeepMind / Vertex), learn from brilliant AI leaders, and gain access to Global 1000 customers via our existing Google Cloud relationships. The opportunity in this space is immense.
