About the Senior Staff UX Interaction Designer, Cloud AI Role at Google

Google User Experience (UX) thrives on multi-disciplinary collaboration, bringing together UX Designers, Researchers, Writers, Content Strategists, Program Managers, and Engineers. This role is integral to gathering insights into user attitudes, emotions, and behaviors, directly informing and inspiring design solutions. You will work closely with engineering and product management teams to craft industry-leading products that deliver significant value to users and to Google’s businesses.
This position requires a profound passion for design craft and a commitment to translating complex enterprise data into intuitive, delightful experiences. A key focus will be on building Gemini-powered agents designed to make workplace software feel human, purposeful, and genuinely enjoyable.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $224,000-$315,000, supplemented by bonus, equity, and comprehensive benefits. Compensation is determined by role, level, and location, with individual pay further influenced by job-related skills, experience, and education. Responsibilities
- Lead the design of new AI-driven concepts that transform how people create, code, and share information.
- Transform complex AI agent workflows into intuitive, 'consumer-grade' experiences that feel human and fun.
- Own the design process from strategic ideation to high-fidelity execution with a focus on empathy and clarity.
- Build conceptual models and prototypes to test AI-driven ideas and iterate based on user research.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to solve complex problems and define the future of how people and AI work together.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 10 years of experience in product design or UX.
- Inclusion of a portfolio, website, or other relevant work link in your resume.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 15 years of experience in product design or UX.
- 7 years of experience working in a complex, cross-functional organization.
- 6 years of experience leading design projects.
- 5 years of experience working with executive leaders.
