About The Role: Senior Software Engineer, Front End, Labs
As a Senior Software Engineer, Front End, Labs at Google, you will be at the forefront of developing next-generation technologies that redefine user interaction with information globally. Key Responsibilities
- Write and rigorously test product or system development code to ensure high quality and reliability.
- Lead or participate actively in design reviews with peers and stakeholders, making informed decisions on technology choices.
- Provide constructive feedback on code developed by others, ensuring adherence to best practices, style guidelines, and efficiency.
- Contribute to and adapt existing documentation and educational content based on product updates and user feedback.
- Efficiently triage, debug, track, and resolve product or system issues by analyzing root causes and their impact on operations.
- Manage project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables with a keen eye on successful execution.
- Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and enhance innovative software solutions that push Google's capabilities forward.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 5 years of experience programming in TypeScript or JavaScript.
- 3 years of experience testing, maintaining, or launching software products.
- 3 years of experience with front-end frameworks, full-stack development, or API development.
- 1 year of experience with software design and architecture.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or a related technical field.
- 5 years of experience with data structures and algorithms.
- 1 year of experience in a technical leadership role.
- Experience developing accessible technologies.
Compensation and Benefits
The US base salary range for this full-time Senior Software Engineer, Front End, Labs position at Google is $166,000-$244,000. This is complemented by a bonus, equity, and comprehensive benefits. Specific pay within this range is determined by your work location, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education.
