About the Role
The Senior Security Engineer Access Security Team at Google works on creating and maintaining a safe operating environment. You will protect network boundaries, harden computer systems, and secure sensitive data such as passwords and customer information. You will also work closely with software engineers to proactively identify and fix security vulnerabilities.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 5 years of experience in Access Management.
- 5 years of experience in security engineering, computer and network security and protocols.
- 5 years of coding experience in one or more general purpose languages.
Preferred Qualifications
- 8 years of experience with security engineering, computer and network security and protocols.
About the Job
Google’s Security team believes there is no such thing as a safe system – only safer systems. The PRISM team, part of the Access Security Team, focuses on uncovering broad risks across the access landscape, gathering and distilling intelligence to fortify security, and deploying measures to prevent future regressions. Working on security risk mitigation systems, you will drive strategy and build cross-functional partnerships to enhance internal access risk management. The Core team underpins Google’s flagship products by breaking down technical barriers and ensuring excellent, safe, and coherent experiences for users.
Responsibilities
- Drive security strategy for PRISM pillars by identifying risks.
- Develop and improve security risk mitigation systems for continuous assessment and automated remediation.
- Build cross-functional partnerships to improve internal access risk management.
- Serve as the go-to expert for security issues Google-wide.
