Senior Program Manager, Networking SRE at Google

As a Senior Program Manager, Networking SRE, you will lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. This involves collaborating with stakeholders to define requirements, manage project timelines, identify potential risks, and ensure clear communication with cross-functional partners across the company.
Your projects will frequently involve teams and offices across different time zones and hemispheres. Your primary responsibility will be to coordinate all contributors and keep them informed of progress and critical deadlines, ensuring that Google's global network infrastructure remains reliable and continuously scales its software and services for all customers, especially Google Cloud.
The Technical/Program Managers (T/PgMs) on this team concentrate on strategic initiatives that integrate both product development and reliability engineering. You will be instrumental in the efficient delivery of high-priority, critical programs spanning multiple teams. This role will involve programs focused on designing, developing, or managing policies and systems to significantly enhance the reliability of Google's production networks.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 8 years of experience in program or project management.
Preferred Qualifications
- 8 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.
Responsibilities
- Implement comprehensive communication standards across a portfolio of programs, including executive and key partner communications.
- Establish a dependable and transparent cadence for program reviews, decision-making processes, prioritization, and effective Resource Stewardship (optimizing the deployment of machine and human resources).
- Lead a robust governance structure that facilitates efficient executive decision-making.
- Define and manage a program portfolio specifically designed to solve problems with high business impact for the organization.
- Build and nurture alliances with cross-organization and cross-functional stakeholders who share similar strategic priorities.
