Overview
Google is seeking a Senior Product Security Engineer to safeguard its systems and products by conducting security assessments, security design reviews, and threat modeling. With a focus on security engineering, computer and network security, and security protocols, you will use your coding expertise to identify and resolve risks.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
- 5 years of experience with security assessments, reviews, or threat modeling
- 5 years of experience with security engineering and protocols
- 5 years of coding experience in at least one general purpose language
Preferred Qualifications
- 1 year of technical experience or leading technical risk analysis
- Experience with cross-functional teams and consulting on security protocols
- Effective communication and influencing skills
Responsibilities
- Review and develop secure operational practices and provide security guidance.
- Evaluate designs to find vulnerabilities using reverse engineering, fuzzing, and static analysis.
- Respond to vulnerabilities with rapid mitigation and security hardening.
- Identify and resolve complex security incidents and policy challenges.
- Focus on the security strategy for Google Cloud.
