Overview

Google is seeking a Senior Product Security Engineer to safeguard its systems and products by conducting security assessments, security design reviews, and threat modeling. With a focus on security engineering, computer and network security, and security protocols, you will use your coding expertise to identify and resolve risks.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
  • 5 years of experience with security assessments, reviews, or threat modeling
  • 5 years of experience with security engineering and protocols
  • 5 years of coding experience in at least one general purpose language

Preferred Qualifications

  • 1 year of technical experience or leading technical risk analysis
  • Experience with cross-functional teams and consulting on security protocols
  • Effective communication and influencing skills

Responsibilities

  • Review and develop secure operational practices and provide security guidance.
  • Evaluate designs to find vulnerabilities using reverse engineering, fuzzing, and static analysis.
  • Respond to vulnerabilities with rapid mitigation and security hardening.
  • Identify and resolve complex security incidents and policy challenges.
  • Focus on the security strategy for Google Cloud.
