About the Senior Network Engineer Role

As a Senior Network Engineer, you will play a key role in designing, testing, and automating networking solutions that keep our systems running smoothly and reliably. You will work on enhancing network features, monitoring performance, coordinating maintenance, and resolving connectivity issues.
Minimum and Preferred Qualifications
Minimum qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Network Engineering, or a related technical field or equivalent experience; at least 6 years of experience in Networking Design and Network Test Automation.
Preferred qualifications: Experience with programming languages such as C++, Go, or Python; proven ability in identifying network problems; experience in developing and automating networking products, tools for device configuration, debugging, and designing tests.
About The Team and Responsibilities
The Network Engineering team at Google is tasked with ensuring that our network infrastructure meets the dynamic needs of our users and customers. In this role, you will:
- Define and describe complex network problems.
- Document test plans and procedures and publish the results.
- Own outcomes for large projects or single critical projects.
- Develop project road-map, goals, and coordinate resources.
- Mentor team members and provide technical leadership.
