About the Role
Fast-paced, dynamic, and proactive, YouTube’s Trust & Safety team is dedicated to making YouTube a safe place for users, viewers, and content creators around the world to create, and express themselves. Whether understanding and solving their online content concerns, navigating within global legal frameworks, or writing and enforcing worldwide policy, the Trust & Safety team is on the frontlines of enhancing the YouTube experience, building internet safety, and protecting free speech in our ever-evolving digital world.
Responsibilities
- Analyze and solve complex problems using data and statistical methods.
- Identify and prevent fraud and abuse.
- Improve tools and automated systems through data analysis, technical expertise, and present to stakeholders.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 5 years of experience in a data analysis role such as threat intelligence, data science, trust and safety, or fraud analysis.
- Experience working with Python, R or SQL.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in the digital advertising industry in a technical role.
- Experience managing projects and defining project scope, goals, and deliverables.
- Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills with attention to detail in a fluid environment.
- Excellent communication skills to convey technical concepts with cross-regional and cross-functional stakeholders at all levels.
Compensation and Benefits
The US base salary range for this full-time position is $159,000-$231,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.
Benefits for this role include: Health, dental, vision, life, disability insurance; Retirement Benefits: 401(k) with company match; Paid Time Off: 20 days of vacation per year, accruing at a rate of 6.15 hours per pay period for the first five years of employment; Sick Time: 40 hours/year (increased to 69 hours/year for Seattle) including 5 discretionary sick days per instance; Maternity Leave (Short-Term Disability + Baby Bonding): 28-30 weeks; Baby Bonding Leave: 18 weeks; Holidays: 13 paid days per year.
