Overview

The Senior Director, Third Party Data Center Operations at Google leads a globally distributed team of operations and program managers responsible for the health, delivery, and efficiency of Google’s Third Party Data Centers.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in data center operations. 20 years of technical management experience. Proven record in managing 100+ technical resources and vendors with geographically dispersed teams.

Preferred Qualifications

10 years of experience managing managers with a track record of top performance in data center operations managing increasing scope and responsibility.

About The Job

As the Senior Director, Third Party Data Center Operations at Google, you will lead managers responsible for technical and operational excellence, leveraging state-of-the-art tools and processes. You will develop strategies for third party data centers to support Google’s cloud and AI infrastructure, manage vendors delivering hyperscale infrastructure, and oversee incident management programs for effective risk mitigation. Additionally, you will handle budget and resource planning, organizational development, and maintain high efficiency, safety, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Lead strategy and development of third party data centers globally.
  • Manage vendors for electrical, mechanical, and cooling operations.
  • Develop and oversee incident management programs and risk mitigation.
  • Work with customers to understand and address their needs.
  • Oversee budget, resource planning, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Compensation

The base salary range is $298,000-$414,000 plus bonus, equity, and benefits. Compensation is determined by role, level, location, skills, and experience.
