Senior Cyber Security Strategic Consultant

Overview

The Senior Cyber Security Strategic Consultant role at Google is dedicated to a one-year transformation project on a strategic account. This position focuses on security control deployment across multiple domains including asset discovery, endpoint security, attack surface management, identity and privileged access management, security detection, and incident response.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity or equivalent.
• 5 years of experience assessing and developing cybersecurity solutions.
• Experience delivering cyber outcomes, risk identification, and solution development.
• Fluent English communication and team collaboration skills.
• Willingness to travel up to 30%.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with security controls in distributed or heterogeneous environments.
• Knowledge of vulnerabilities, security architecture, and control frameworks.
• Familiarity with enterprise security stacks and cloud configurations.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and client communication.

About The Role & Responsibilities

As a Senior Cyber Security Strategic Consultant, you will develop roadmaps and recommendations to enhance cloud security architecture, governance, and standards. Your responsibilities include articulating best practices such as DevSecOps, zero trust design, and cloud incident response, along with performing security configuration reviews for common cloud-based SaaS platforms.

Additional Information

This role is based out of the Northeast US with preferred working locations including New York, NY; Cambridge, MA; and Pittsburgh, PA. Compensation includes a base salary with bonus, equity, and benefits. Google is committed to equal employment opportunity.
