About the Role: Senior Associate, Business Strategy and Operations

The Business Strategy and Operations team at Google is pivotal in providing business insights, aligning goals cross-functionally, and advancing strategic partnerships and new initiatives. This team ensures company priorities translate into daily operations and helps transform early-stage ideas into future growth opportunities.

As a Senior Associate, Business Strategy and Operations, you will be instrumental in developing business plans that support seamless regional operations within the large customer sales (LCS) business. You will also create innovative solutions for complex and highly visible business challenges. Your role involves collaborating with key stakeholders, senior executives, and cross-functional leaders to drive alignment, manage strategic change, and facilitate overall communications. You will proactively identify and capitalize on opportunities to enhance operational performance aligned with strategic goals.

About the Go-to-Market Operations (GtM) Team

The Go-to-Market Operations (GtM) team is crucial for the smooth functioning of Google's intricate and dynamic Ads business. We play a key role in defining our go-to-market strategy and ensuring its flawless execution and operational delivery. Our teams are embedded within each major Ads business area, complemented by global teams that collaborate across all business segments. Team members are characterized by their analytical and strategic acumen, coupled with a practical approach to achieving results.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and test hypotheses for opportunity areas or problem statements using quantitative or qualitative analysis. Extract actionable insights and communicate recommendations to power business growth.
  • Assist in developing robust processes and programs. Define, track, and monitor key metrics to ensure continuous progress against established business objectives.
  • Identify critical areas for improvement to propel the business forward, helping to evaluate and scale effective process enhancements across various business units.
  • Create detailed project plans and effectively prioritize tasks, ensuring high-quality and timely project delivery.
  • Build strong relationships and foster partnerships across diverse teams to develop comprehensive business solutions. Identify relevant stakeholders, understand their core priorities, and challenge them to achieve superior outcomes.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 4 years of experience in business strategy, sales operations, management consulting, or a related analytical field.
  • Experience leading project components and managing timelines, goals, and objectives with limited guidance.
  • Experience analyzing information to draw conclusions, generate solutions, and develop plans of action.

  • Ability to evaluate a wide range of ambiguous problems using critical thinking to identify root causes and generate solutions.
  • Ability to manage operational and strategic projects and collaborate with multiple stakeholders.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-moving, ambiguous environment.
