About the Role
The Security Engineer Platform Security and Privacy role at Google focuses on creating and maintaining a safe operating environment for users and developers. You will work with network equipment, monitor systems for attacks, and collaborate with software engineers to identify and address security vulnerabilities.

Qualifications
Minimum: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, 2 years experience in security assessments, security design reviews, threat modeling, security engineering, coding in general purpose languages.
Preferred: Experience with threat modeling, vulnerability research, security reviews, secure software development, and hands-on vulnerability discovery, static analysis, and secure coding practices.
Responsibilities
- Identify security issues and implement security controls, tools, and services.
- Analyze applications for vulnerabilities and create proof of concept exploits.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to set security expectations for products and users.
- Assess vulnerabilities and recommend fixes.
- Prototype and build security tools to automate workflows and vulnerability identification.
