Original Job Summary

Overview

Google's YouTube Trust & Safety team is seeking a Scaled Abuse Analyst to help reduce network abuse and safeguard user experience. In this dynamic role, you will use data analysis and statistical methods to identify trends, manage projects, and develop anti-abuse workflows.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 1 year of data analysis experience, including statistical summary and trend identification.
  • 1 year of project management experience including scope, goals, and deliverables.
  • 1 year of experience with SQL, R, Python, or C++.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in data management, metrics analysis, experiment design, and automation.
  • Familiarity with classification systems, ranking systems, LLMs, and AI agents.
  • Ability to work with global teams and synthesize data from multiple sources.
  • Translating investigative insights into actionable business strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Apply advanced statistical methods to understand and reduce abuse on YouTube.
  • Develop workflows against known abuse vectors while improving quality assurance systems.
  • Communicate technical results and manage solutions for process automation.
  • Collaborate with engineers and stakeholders to enhance anti-abuse systems.
  • Design and refine LLM prompts for accurate classification of abusive content.
  • Engage in rotational on-call work and handle sensitive content as needed.
