About the Job
As a Red Team Security Consultant at Google, you will be responsible for assessing and advising clients on technical and process-based controls across diverse environments. You will conduct red and purple team assessments including adversarial emulation, external penetration testing, web application, mobile, and wireless security testing. You will expand team capabilities through tool creation, research on offensive techniques, and sharing threat actor intelligence, while developing comprehensive reports and executive presentations.
Responsibilities
You will perform offensive technical cybersecurity engagements, interface with clients to resolve issues, advise on security best practices, and collaborate with internal teams to deliver value to clients. Additionally, you will participate in scoping engagements, lead teams from kickoff through remediation, and mentor junior staff.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's in Computer Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity or equivalent experience.
- 3+ years in penetration testing and red teaming.
- Experience with wireless, web application, and network security testing tools.
- Familiarity with operating system security in Linux or others.
Preferred Qualifications
- Relevant offensive security certifications (OSCE, OSCP, etc.).
- Experience in offensive security consulting and tool development.
- Proficiency in programming languages like Python, C#, C/C++, Rust or Nim.
- Excellent communication skills for technical documentation and client advisory.
Additional Information
This full-time role offers a US base salary range of $108,000-$155,000 plus bonus, equity, and benefits. Google provides a hybrid workplace, including remote options from locations such as Texas, USA.
