About the Role
As a Program Manager, Operations, Trust and Safety at Google, you will lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from inception to completion. This involves working closely with stakeholders to define requirements, manage project timelines, identify potential risks, and ensure clear communication with cross-functional partners across the company. Your projects will often span various offices, time zones, and global regions, requiring expert coordination to keep all parties updated on progress and deadlines.

The Trust & Safety team is composed of experts dedicated to combating abuse and enhancing user trust, striving daily to make the internet a safer environment. We collaborate with teams across Google to implement innovative solutions against issues such as malware, spam, and account hijacking. Our diverse team of Analysts, Policy Specialists, Engineers, and Program Managers works to mitigate risk and fight abuse across all Google products, safeguarding users, advertisers, and publishers globally in over 40 languages.
Responsibilities
- Design and execute optimized program communication plans, including communications for executive leadership and key partners.
- Define phasing and metrics for the program lifecycle that effectively promote continuous improvement, with a focus on Resource Stewardship (efficient deployment of machine and human resources), covering both short-term and long-term objectives.
- Identify and gather the necessary data to govern programs and facilitate effective stakeholder decision-making.
- Anticipate and address change management requirements for program stakeholders.
- Cultivate trusted relationships with program stakeholders, managing the expectations of senior cross-functional leads and providing them with essential insights for informed decisions.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 5 years of experience in program or project management.
- Experience in trust and safety.
- Experience in operations and internal stakeholder management.
Preferred Qualifications
- 5 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.
- Experience in compliance, information security, IT audit, or risk management.
- Familiarity with Google products, various forms of online abuse, and policy development/strategies.
- Solid analytical, quantitative, and statistical problem-solving skills.
