About the Program Manager, Google Wallet Role at Google

A problem isn’t truly solved until it’s solved for all. That’s why Googlers build products that help create opportunities for everyone, whether down the street or across the globe. As a Program Manager, Google Wallet at Google, you’ll lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish — working with stakeholders to plan requirements, manage project schedules, identify risks, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. Your projects will often span offices, time zones, and hemispheres. It's your job to coordinate the players and keep them up to date on progress and deadlines.

Whether it is paying online with Autofill, using tap and pay in stores, or using the Google Pay app, the Payments team at Google is focused on making payments simple, seamless, and secure. In addition to consumer payment technologies, the Payments team also powers the money movement between Google and its consumers and businesses.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience in program or project management.
  • 5 years of experience managing software projects across the full life-cycle.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.
  • Experience translating engineering discussions into engineering tasks and next steps.
  • Ability to influence without authority, working alongside engineers, product managers, and UX designers to prioritize the roadmap.

Responsibilities

  • Involve in full software development life-cycle, from ideation, through implementation to post-production support.
  • Interact with cross-functional team to gather estimates/proposals and generate project plans.
  • Own software implementation projects, including providing full project management, create and maintain implementation documentation and tracking timelines and deliverables.
  • Work closely with Product, Engineering, and cross-functional teams to resolve issues that arise during design and implementation, and in post-production.
