About the Role: Product Marketing Manager, Google Search

As a Product Marketing Manager for Google Search, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the product's journey from conception to growth. This position involves deep engagement with consumer products like Google Search, working across various marketing facets, and collaborating with diverse cross-functional teams.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 6 years of experience in marketing across one or more fields such as growth, product marketing, brand marketing, or social.
  • Experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with metrics, analytics, and using data to inform marketing or product strategy.
  • Experience in developing and executing high-quality brand strategy and creative execution.
  • Experience in developing growth marketing both in-app and off-app.
  • Ability to demonstrate a penchant for technology, creativity to 'think outside the box,' and leadership to execute effectively, specifically using AI tools.
  • Excellent written and communication skills, distinctive problem-solving and analysis skills, and people-management skills, as well as impeccable business judgment.

About Google and This Role

Whether contributing to consumer products like Gmail, Search, Maps, Chrome, and Android, or business products such as Google Ads and Google Marketing Platform, you will lead every aspect of a product's journey. This includes determining positioning, naming, competitive analysis, feature prioritization, and external communications, all geared towards shaping the product and growing its consumer base. You will work within a dynamic cross-functional team spanning Sales, corporate communications, legal, webmasters, product development, and engineering, being involved in product marketing strategy from start to finish.

In the age of Artificial Intelligence (AI), Google is ushering in a new era of Search, making significant improvements to help people find exactly what they need in their daily lives. Information is constantly evolving, reinforcing Google's mission to “organize the world’s information and make it universally accessible and useful.” As users and products evolve, maintaining brand relevance is key. In this role, you will collaborate closely with internal and external teams to bring Google Search to life for Indian users. You will be integral in shaping the strategy, narrative, and execution of Search in the Indian market, influencing cross-functional teams and, ultimately, Google's users.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive the Go-to-market (GTM) strategy, plan, and execution for Google Search in India, leveraging research and insights throughout the process.
  • Partner with product teams to deliver insights, launch, and communicate search features in India.
  • Develop growth marketing strategies and an experiment plan.
  • Conduct analysis to support marketing strategy, impact, and measurement.
  • Work closely with various teams (e.g., cross-functional teams, external agencies, external partners), communicating proactively and solving problems collaboratively.
