Product Manager Payment Platform

Our team works closely with creative engineers, designers, marketers, etc. to help design and develop technologies that improve access to the world's information. We're responsible for guiding products throughout the execution cycle, focusing specifically on analyzing, positioning, packaging, promoting, and tailoring our solutions to our users.
About the Payments Compliance Team
The Payments Compliance Team is protecting Google's business growth while responding to the key threats to Google's global portfolio of products and features. The Team is responsible for building a platform to control regulatory risks associated with Financial Crimes. We work with the Payments Chief Compliance Officer's team of Financial Crime Investigators to detect and prevent illegal activities happening on Google's platform. We ideate, scope, prioritize and execute a roadmap to see needs for separate Google product teams, as well as strategy for financial crimes core detection and prevention platform.
Responsibilities
- Own and drive the product goals for key areas within the Payments ecosystem, acting as a growth enabler for Google's multiple suite of products.
- Partner with first-party integrators (e.g., Cloud and Play) to understand their business goals, define solutions, and launch products that accelerate their growth.
- Advocate a customer-first approach, design solutions that achieve necessary business and regulatory standards.
- Build forward-looking strategy and roadmap that leverages Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning (AI/ML) and an innovation-first tech stack to improve the customer experience, optimize operational efficiency, and reduce overall operational costs.
- Develop and manage end-to-end projects, work with cross-functional partners to ensure on-time delivery.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 5 years of experience in product management.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with product management toolkit with the ability to solve problems.
- Experience with developing technical roadmaps and plans to implement end-to-end solutions, with the ability to leverage AI/ML and tech stacks.
- Ability to build relationships and influence cross-functional teams to deliver customer-first solutions.
- Ability to analyze data (e.g., SQL, data visualization) to make informed, metrics-motivated product decisions.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate concepts across different levels of abstraction.
