Responsibilities include guiding products through their execution cycle, focusing on analysis, positioning, packaging, promotion, and tailoring solutions for users.
The Geo team is dedicated to creating the most accurate, comprehensive, and useful maps through products like Maps, Earth, Street View, and Google Maps Platform. Over a billion people globally rely on Maps services monthly for exploration and navigation. The Geo team also empowers developers to leverage Google Maps platforms for their apps and websites, solving complex computer science problems, designing intuitive product experiences, and deepening our understanding of the real world.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 5 years of experience in product management or a related technical role.
- 2 years of experience taking technical products from conception to launch (e.g., ideation to execution, end-to-end, 0 to 1).
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree or PhD in a technology or business related field.
- 3 years of experience in a business function or role (e.g., strategic marketing, business operations, consulting).
- 3 years of experience in a role preparing and delivering technical presentations to senior leadership.
- 2 years of experience in software development or engineering.
- 2 years of experience working cross-functionally with engineering, UX/UI, sales finance, and other stakeholders.
- 1 year of experience in technical leadership.
- Experience with any of the following: HD Maps; geospatial, navigation or mapping technology; routing; logistics or shipping.
Responsibilities
- Understand markets, competition, and user requirements in depth.
- Launch new products and features, test their performance, and iterate quickly.
- Work collaboratively with engineering, marketing, legal, UX, and other teams on cutting-edge technologies.
- Develop solutions to problems by collaborating as needed across regions, product areas, and functions.
