In this role as a Product Manager, Google Maps, you will collaborate cross-functionally to guide products from their initial conception to successful launch, bridging the gap between technical and business domains. You possess the ability to deconstruct complex challenges into actionable steps that propel product development forward.

Our team works closely with talented engineers, designers, marketers, and other professionals to design and develop technologies that enhance access to global information. We are responsible for guiding products throughout their entire execution cycle, specifically focusing on analyzing, positioning, packaging, promoting, and customizing our solutions to meet user needs.
The Geo team is dedicated to creating the most accurate, comprehensive, and valuable maps for our users, through products like Google Maps, Earth, Street View, Google Maps Platform, and more. Over a billion people rely on Google Maps services monthly to explore the world and navigate their daily lives. The Geo team also empowers developers to leverage the capabilities of Google Maps platforms to enhance their applications and websites. As they chart the future of mapping, they are tackling intricate computer science problems, crafting intuitive product experiences, and deepening our understanding of the real world.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 5 years of experience in product management or a related technical role.
- 2 years of experience successfully taking technical products from conception to launch (e.g., ideation to execution, end-to-end, 0 to 1).
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree or PhD in a technology or business-related field.
- 3 years of experience in a business function or role (e.g., strategic marketing, business operations, consulting).
- 3 years of experience preparing and delivering technical presentations to senior leadership.
- 2 years of experience in software development or engineering.
- 2 years of experience working cross-functionally with engineering, UX/UI, sales, finance, and other stakeholders.
- 1 year of experience in technical leadership.
- Experience with any of the following: HD Maps; geospatial, navigation or mapping technology; routing; logistics or shipping.
Responsibilities
- Understand markets, competition, and user requirements in depth.
- Launch new products and features, test their performance, and iterate quickly.
- Work collaboratively with engineering, marketing, legal, UX, and other teams on cutting-edge technologies.
- Develop solutions to problems by collaborating as needed across regions, product areas, and functions.
