Product Manager, Applied AI, Google Cloud

About The Role

As a Product Manager, Applied AI, Google Cloud, you will spearhead products from their initial concept to successful launch, bridging the gap between technical innovation and business objectives. This role demands a continuous adaptation to evolving user needs, focusing on developing products that impact millions globally. You will work within Google Cloud, which is dedicated to accelerating digital transformation for organizations worldwide, leveraging Google's cutting-edge technology and sustainable developer tools.

You will define the vision, strategy, and roadmap for critical enterprise-grade products, specifically Google Cloud’s Healthcare API and Risk AI portfolios. Your responsibilities include driving expansion into new global regions and leading the design of features such as FHIR-based APIs, medical imaging solutions, and AML detection tools. This position requires managing key relationships with global banks and innovative healthcare organizations, engaging in executive briefings, and navigating complex enterprise readiness and incident response scenarios. Collaborating closely with data science teams, you will optimize model quality, recommend best practices for data labeling and sampling, and guide AI-driven investigations. A core aspect of the role involves balancing diverse feature requests and project deliveries by robustly weighing effort and complexity against OKRs and customer value.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 5 years of experience in product management or a related technical role.
• 2 years of experience taking technical products from conception to launch (e.g., ideation to execution, end-to-end, 0 to 1, etc.).
• Experience with the domain area of Generative AI or Large Language Models (LLMs).

Preferred Qualifications

• 3 years of experience shipping AI products, specifically in Generative AI and large models, demonstrating an ability to balance model quality with cost/benefit tradeoffs.
• Experience in API design (REST/JSON) and industry-specific data standards (FHIR, HL7, ICD-10, SNOMED) or Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems (Epic/Cerner).
• Experience in risk, compliance, or healthcare (Provider/Payer/Life Sciences) within frameworks like HIPAA, GxP, or financial risk governance.
• Ability to drive goals, Product Requirement Documents (PRDs), and Go-To-Market (GTM) strategy while managing complex cross-functional stakeholders and global launches.
• Ability to think strategically with ambiguity, iterate for product-market fit, and confidently present to C-suite audiences.
