The Google Cloud Platform team empowers customers to innovate and build their future with cloud technology. Our products prioritize security, reliability, and scalability, spanning infrastructure, applications, devices, and hardware. We are dedicated to helping developers, businesses, educational institutions, and government agencies realize the full potential of our technology. As a key member of a rapidly growing entrepreneurial team, you will understand customer needs and shape how businesses of all sizes utilize technology to connect with customers, employees, and partners.

This hybrid technical and business advisor role, part of the Google Cloud Principal Architect team, requires executive-level qualities. You will lead conversations, direct sales team execution by combining technical direction with business insight, and partner with value engineering to articulate the true total value of each technical solution and the overall business partnership with Google Public Sector.

Google Cloud accelerates digital transformation across industries by delivering enterprise-grade solutions leveraging Google's technology and tools that enable sustainable development. Customers in over 200 countries and territories trust Google Cloud to drive growth and solve critical business challenges.

  • 10 years of experience as an enterprise architect or equivalent experience in a customer-facing role.
  • Experience in cloud market insights and cloud computing across applications, infrastructure, storage, platforms, or data.
  • Experience engaging with, and presenting to, technical stakeholders and executive leaders.

  • Experience in enterprise technology buying and evaluation processes, coupled with an understanding of computing solutions and experience in building, architecting, designing, and implementing highly distributed global cloud-based systems.
  • Knowledge of technology solutions with the ability to learn and work with new emerging technologies, methodologies, and solutions in the Cloud/IT technology space.
  • Ability to deliver results and work cross-functionally to position and orchestrate a solution consisting of multiple products.

Responsibilities

  • Build a trusted advisory relationship with accounts and engage with Architects, VP Engineering, CTO, and CIO, identifying customer priorities, technical objections, and designing strategies encompassing the entire Google ecosystem to deliver business value and resolve blockers.
  • Provide domain expertise around public cloud and enterprise technology, effectively promoting Google Cloud with customers, at conferences, and online.
  • Recommend integration strategies, enterprise architectures, platforms, and application infrastructure required to successfully implement a complete solution while providing best practices to customers to optimize Google Cloud effectiveness.
