Job Description

About The Role: Portfolio Management Lead, Site, Power, and Data Center Assets Delivery

As the Portfolio Management Lead, Site, Power, and Data Center Assets Delivery at Google, you will serve as a pragmatic visionary, orchestrating the successful delivery of Google’s critical physical infrastructure. This pivotal role bridges the gap between the initial delivery of raw assets—including land, power, and site development—and the sophisticated digital frameworks essential for their ongoing management. Your focus will extend beyond mere reporting of delays; you will proactively build predictive insights and establish robust data flows to prevent potential setbacks. You will be responsible for the development and continuous improvement of portfolio planning and risk management processes, ensuring that Google's global delivery throughput can meet the unprecedented scale and demands of the AI era.

As a Program Manager at Google, you'll tackle complex, multi-disciplinary projects from inception to completion. This involves collaborating closely with stakeholders to define requirements, meticulously manage project schedules, identify and mitigate risks, and maintain clear communication with cross-functional partners across the entire company. Your projects will often span multiple offices, time zones, and hemispheres, requiring exceptional coordination and consistent progress updates to all involved parties.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 10 years of experience in program or project management.
  • 7 years of experience in a leadership role.
  • Experience in infrastructure development or real estate asset classes, portfolio management, or Capital Project Governance.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 10 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.
  • Ability to develop, articulate, and effectively communicate context to stakeholders to directly shape team focus and resource prioritization.

Responsibilities

  • Orchestrate critical milestones across a complex stakeholder map, including Google Global Infrastructure (GGI) and Google Data Center (GDC).
  • Establish a reliable and visible cadence for portfolio reviews, decision making, prioritization, and resource management.
  • Build and manage a team that monitors global delivery throughput to ensure on-time delivery.
  • Measure progress against the Supply Expansion Plan, ensuring Land, Energy, and Development teams are aligned on execution priorities and understand the impact of delays.
  • Lead the transition from manual planning to an AI-augmented process optimization, utilizing predictive analytics to de-risk the delivery of high-capital infrastructure decisions in an increasingly unpredictable global environment.

Benefits

Google offers a comprehensive benefits package to all eligible US-based employees. Benefits for this role include:

  • Health, dental, vision, life, disability insurance
  • Retirement Benefits: 401(k) with company match
  • Paid Time Off: 20 days of vacation per year (accruing at 6.15 hours per pay period for the first five years)
  • Sick Time: 40 hours/year (statutory, where applicable); 5 days/event (discretionary)
