The People Analytics team functions as an internal innovation lab, utilizing analytical approaches to ensure Google remains an exceptional place to work. This team provides crucial support for organizational health, taking the pulse of Googlers and leveraging their feedback to enact positive change. As a People Analyst, you will be detail-oriented, analytical, curious, and a strong problem-solver, adept with both quantitative and qualitative methods. Your role involves asking "What if?" and actively seeking solutions.
As a People Analyst supporting the development of user-first HR Products, you will contribute to a team dedicated to making data universally useful, reliable, and accessible for internal stakeholders and partners across People Operations. Your responsibilities will include using research and analytics to solve complex problems, building data and dashboard solutions to generate insights, and performing analyses to drive performance and strategy. You will manage ongoing client relationships, prioritize work, and navigate ambiguity while collaborating on multi-team projects within an unstructured environment. This role requires strategic foresight combined with tactical execution capabilities, along with strong technical data experience, problem-solving skills, and project management acumen.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 5 years of experience interacting with and manipulating data using tools such as SQL, R, or other statistical languages.
- 5 years of experience working with multiple data sources, combining information to generate insights from analyses, and creating reporting solutions for an executive audience (e.g., dashboards, tables, templates, metrics).
Preferred Qualifications
- 5 years of experience collaborating on projects involving multiple teams and managing ongoing client relationships.
- 5 years of experience using quantitative and qualitative strategies to measure the effectiveness of programs, interventions, and efforts.
- Experience with AI/ML technologies or investigative approaches.
- Experience with SQL, manipulating and analyzing large data sets to distill insights from data.
- Experience in a client-facing role using data visualizations to represent analyses to an executive audience.
Responsibilities
- Help stakeholders improve business processes.
- Work with a team of business analysts to implement integrations and design strategies.
- Provide employee feedback analysis, operational monitoring, and error resolution.
- Make key contributions to project execution and solve scaled operations problems.
- Oversee execution of data-oriented analysis and influence business decision-making.
Compensation and Benefits
The US base salary range for this full-time People Analyst, HR Products position is $117,000-$168,000, plus bonus, equity, and comprehensive benefits. Salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location, with individual pay influenced by work location, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Benefits available to all eligible US-based employees include health, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance; 401(k) with company match; 20 days of vacation per year; sick time; maternity leave (short-term disability + baby bonding); baby bonding leave; and 13 paid holidays per year.
