Overview
The Open Source Intelligence Specialist role at Google is part of the Global Security Operations Center (GSOC) Sentinel team. This position supports operational threat detection, assessment and triage, focusing on open-source intelligence tasks to mitigate risks to the enterprise.
Responsibilities
- Collect, evaluate, escalate and disseminate intelligence based on credibility.
- Provide intelligence support during incident response, crisis management, and global travel management.
- Use open source material to research potential security threats.
- Develop protocols and practices to drive efficiency and manage crises.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience and 5 years of experience in law enforcement, intelligence, military or equivalent private sector experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in open source intelligence (OSINT).
- Understanding of threat types and global geopolitical trends.
- Ability to handle highly confidential information with discretion and diplomacy.
- Strong initiative and cross-functional relationship building skills.
- Excellent critical thinking, problem-solving, written and verbal communication skills.
