About the Job

Google is searching for a Network Automation Engineer to work in Singapore. In this role, you will work with global network engineering and software teams to build solutions that improve network reliability and reduce operational costs. You will help design and implement network deployment strategies, develop automation tooling, and provide operational support for a complex global network.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • 3 years experience with optical technologies such as client transceivers, optical metro, long-haul DWDM systems, or submarine systems.
  • Proficiency in programming languages like C++, Go, or Python.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience building and maintaining software services and automation frameworks for IP and optical networks.
  • Knowledge of IP or optical network technologies, including routing protocols and optical transport networks.
  • Ability to write SQL scripts for data extraction and network diagnostics.
  • Data-motivated approach to analyzing business processes and recommending optimizations.
  • Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively across teams.
