Overview
At Google, the Mixed Methods UX Researcher, Search uses both qualitative and quantitative research methods to understand user behavior and improve product experiences. Applicants in San Francisco are considered under the Fair Chance Ordinance.
Minimum and Preferred Qualifications
Minimum: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience; 6 years in an applied research setting; proficiency in quantitative and qualitative research methods such as usability testing, log analysis, and surveys.
Preferred: Master's or PhD in a related field; 5 years conducting UX research with executive leadership; 3 years managing projects within cross-functional teams; excellent communication of research findings.
Job Responsibilities
- Collaborate with UXRs, product managers, and engineers.
- Conduct both foundational and iterative user research projects.
- Own the qualitative and quantitative research roadmap.
- Formulate research questions and shape product strategy and design.
- Create scalable frameworks to visualize and analyze user data.
- Develop data-driven insights for creating useful and delightful products.
Team and Culture
Join a multi-disciplinary team including UX Designers, Researchers, Writers, Program Managers, and Engineers. Engage with the UXR community through meetups, mentorships, and internal research tools.
Compensation and Benefits
The US base salary range is $151,000-$222,000 with bonus, equity and benefits. Note that compensation details reflect base salary only.
