About the Role
As a member of Google’s Government Affairs and Public Policy team, you will be an integral part of a global government affairs team working across regions, product areas, and functions. In this role as Manager, Government Affairs and Public Policy YouTube, you will shape YouTube's public policy efforts for cross-market regulations and collaborate with Trust and Safety, Product, Marketing, Comms, Legal, and Partnerships teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Advise product teams on public policy implications during product development and launches.
- Engage with executive leadership to share regulatory landscape insights.
- Collaborate with Trust and Safety and Legal on content policy impact.
- Develop resources for regulators, trade associations, and industry partners.
- Execute policy strategy to benefit YouTube users and business objectives.
Qualifications
Minimum: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience; 10 years in tech/media policy issues; experience with product and business teams.
Preferred: Experience managing a team; collaboration with executive leadership; ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences; thrive in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment.
Compensation & Benefits
The US base salary range for this full-time position is $182,000-$249,000 plus bonus, equity, and benefits. Note that these figures reflect base salary only. More information is available during the hiring process.
