Google's software engineers develop the next-generation technologies that change how billions of users connect, explore, and interact with information and one another. As a software engineer, you will work on a specific project critical to Google’s needs with opportunities to switch teams and projects as you and our fast-paced business grow and evolve. We need our engineers to be versatile, display leadership qualities and be enthusiastic to take on new problems across the full-stack as we continue to push technology forward.

With your technical expertise you will manage project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables. You will design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and enhance software solutions.

About the iOS Google Search App Platform Team

The iOS Google Search App Platform Team is responsible for supporting the core app level infrastructure used by engineers and partners to build features in Search. We have wide latitude to propose changes, own pieces of the app infrastructure, and drive adoption of new tooling, APIs, and systems. We focus on improving User Trust through features such as Incognito and Autofill.

In this role, you will have an opportunity to work on platform level integrations to support the entire iOS Google Search app for compliance purposes.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with Product and UX to ensure features are of the highest level of craft.
  • Implement changes that elevate the polish, performance, and delight of the Google App on iOS.
  • Work with leads and cross-functional partners to plan how to best bring changes to production to ensure we continue to improve user sentiment, resulting in long-term engagement growth for iGA.
  • Build expertise in a particular area of Google App on iOS and ensure all user journeys in that space are well-crafted.
  • Build iOS experiences within iGA.
