Interaction Designer, Search Delight at Google

Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 4 years of experience in product design or UX.
- Experience designing across multiple platforms, building user interface mockups and prototypes, and working with technical/design teams to create user flows and wireframes.
- Include a portfolio, website, or any other relevant link to your work in your resume (providing a viewable link or access instructions).
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 2 years of experience working in a cross-functional organization.
- Experience designing UX solutions built on AI technology.
- Ability to lead and ideate products from scratch and improve features within a user-centered design process.
- Ability to introduce intentional expression in otherwise functional designs.
- Excellent communication and influencing skills for product design strategy.

This role involves the entire design process, from creating user flows and wireframes to building user interface mockups and prototypes, envisioning how people will experience Google's products, and bringing that vision to life in an inspired, refined, and magical way.
Google User Experience (UX) comprises multi-disciplinary teams including UX Designers, Researchers, Writers, Content Strategists, Program Managers, and Engineers, all deeply committed to the users of our products. The UX team is crucial in gathering insights into user attitudes, emotions, and behaviors to inspire and inform design. Collaboration is key, working closely with engineering and product management to develop industry-leading products that deliver value to users and to Google’s businesses.
You will leverage user-centered design methods to craft industry-leading user experiences, from concept through execution. Collaborating with design partners, you'll evolve and apply the Google design language to create beautiful, innovative, and beloved products.
This position is pivotal in shaping the future of delight in emerging AI-powered search experiences, designing features that are intuitive and seamlessly integrated with Google's AI ecosystem.

Responsibilities
- Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and cross-functional stakeholders to understand requirements and provide design solutions.
- Communicate the user experience effectively at various stages of the design process using wireframes, flow diagrams, storyboards, mockups, or high-fidelity prototypes.
- Integrate user feedback and business requirements into ongoing product experience updates.
- Advocate for the prioritization of design-centered changes, refinements, and improvements.
