About the Role

As a Google Cloud Outcome Customer Engineer II, you will be instrumental in driving initial and ongoing business ramp for Google's customers. Your primary goal will be to remove blockers and ensure customers realize the maximum benefit from their Google Cloud investment faster. This role involves managing and executing comprehensive deployment plans, transitioning scoped workloads into production, and providing essential technical leadership to customers and partners.

You will directly influence the velocity and incremental consumption of customer workloads, leading to accelerated value realization, higher adoption, and future expansion opportunities. This position requires a blend of sales expertise, deep market knowledge, direct technical engagement, and strong technical project management skills to showcase the value of the Google Cloud portfolio.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and orchestrate a structured, end-to-end deployment plan involving customer and partner teams, ensuring a smooth onboarding process, clearing technical and logistical blockers, managing timelines, tracking progress, and verifying overall readiness (e.g., capacity, training).
  • Utilize technical skills such as coding, debugging, and systems design to effectively resolve technical blockers and accelerate the deployment process for customers.
  • Drive and meticulously track the progress of initial and ongoing workload ramp, efficiently moving customers from agreement phases to active consumption as rapidly as possible.
  • Identify and pursue expansion opportunities for new workloads within existing accounts during the project execution phase, fostering continued growth and adoption.
  • Drive sustainable product usage to help customers continually realize value from their investment, thereby securing future agreement renewals and fostering long-term relationships.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 6 years of experience with cloud native architecture in a customer-facing or support role.
  • Experience in deployment planning, orchestration, or change management.
  • Experience in programming languages, debugging, or systems design.
  • Experience engaging with, presenting to, or influencing technical stakeholders or executive leaders.
  • Ability to travel up to 30% of the time.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in one or more of the following areas: Infrastructure Modernization, Application Modernization, Data Management, Data Analytics, Cloud AI, Networking, Migrations or Security.
  • Extensive experience with Google Cloud products.
  • Experience collaborating with product and capacity teams to resolve technical and capacity blockers.
  • Proficiency with object-oriented programming languages (e.g., Python, Java), and proven ability to use technical expertise to remove obstacles and accelerate customer deployment.
